It is also about the spiritual journey she found herself on when she was led to the doors of her first AA meeting. Being rebellious most of her life, this day was her most vulnerable and most teachable day, she was listening for the first time in a long time.

Ellie Lorenz is a grduate of California State University, Sacremento, She is a mother of three; one daughter and two sons, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildern. She currently resides in Washington State. Miss Ellie has Native roots in Canada with the Blood Tribe, and in Montana with the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, where she was raised until the age of nine and a half. Most of her teen years she lived in rebellion with an I-will-do-if-my-way attitude.
